Visit to RAF Signals Museum
On 10 October a party of 12 visited and thoroughly enjoyed the Signals Museum at RAF Henlow.
The museum displays RAF radio, radar and navigation equipment from the first world war to about the end of the cold war. Our two guides gave us excellent explanations of the history of RAF Henlow and the details of equipment displayed - some of it restored to working order. Much of it is navigation-related.
Coupled with a local pub lunch enjoyed by some of us, the visit turned out to be a most enlightening and enjoyable day.
