How about improving your communication skills and possibly winning £250 . .

- Submit an article relating to how animals navigate, in a form that can be understood by most lay readers, conform to the style currently in use by Navigation News (the house magazine of the RIN), be attractively illustrated and not exceed 3,000 words.

- The winner of the best article in a given year will receive £250, a one-year free membership of the Royal Institute of Navigation - entitling the winner to receive 4 copies of the Journal of Navigation, 6 copies of Navigation News, a certificate and full access to the RIN website.

- Articles should be sent to the Editor Navigation News (Tony Fyler - He will have sole discretion on acceptance of the article for publication, and will call on the ANG Committee if he feels the need for specialist advice.
