Aero-Systems Course graduates
Following a last-minute reprieve of the Course in 2013, this year's students graduated on 4 December.
The following students of No 46 Aero-Systems Course graduated at the Air Warfare School, RAF College Cranwell:

- Flt Lt Andrew Dale - RAF
- Flt Lt Thom Dean - RAF
- Lt Ben Jewson - RN
- Flt Lt Paul Kelly - RAF
- Flt Lt Al McFarland - RAF
- Lt Tony Sherwin - RN
- Maj Ben Shillito - Army
- Flt Lt Bruce Thompson - RAF
Apart from qualifying as Aero-Systems Qualified (asq), all 9 were awarded an MSc in Aero-Systems studies from Kingston University.
Flt Lt Andrew Dale was awarded the Royal Institute of Navigation Trophy as the top student in guidance subjects; he was also awarded the Aries Trophy for the best individual project dissertation. Air Cdre Norman Bonnor, Institute Past-President and graduate of the Course himself, presented the Trophy - a beautifully-mounted astro-compass - and handed all graduates invitations for a period of Guest membership of the Institute.
Andrew is posted to No 56(R) Squadron at RAF Waddington. An integral part of the Air Warfare Centre, 56(R) Sqn contributes to the operational development and optimisation of the RAF's command and control, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (Air C2ISR) capabilities.
We congratulate all the graduates - especially the Navigation Trophy winner - on their achievements and wish them well in their upcoming assignments.
