There are currently two SIGs covering land-based issues: the Land Navigation & Location Group, which mainly covers navigation in land-based vehicles, and the Navigation on Foot Group, which covers all pedestrian navigation, from nav-capable mobile phones to orienteering to Polar expeditions.

  This Group covers all kinds of navigation used by land-based vehicles and the technologies employed to make it easier, from the A-Z to in-car satnav.

• Navigation On Foot Group

  This Group covers all navigation by human beings on foot, from navigation-equipped mobile phones to geocaching to expeditions.
