EVENT POSTPONED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER

Announcement:

The RIN MT&NG are pleased to announce a joint evening seminar, being organised by the RIN, is to take place on 2nd February 2009 starting at
1730 for 1815, onboard HQS Wellington.

The speakers for this evening seminar are Captain Dwain Hutchinson, Deputy Director Bahamas Maritime Authority and Saurabh Sachdeva of the UK
Chamber of Shipping, who will describe the current situation regarding the new SOLAS regulation V/19-1, which requires ships to automatically transmit LRIT information in a phased programme starting from the 31st December 2008. So come and join the debate.

This joint event is being run in collaboration with The Honourable Company of Master Mariners, The Institute of Marine Engineering Science and Technology, The Nautical Institute and The Royal Institution of Naval Architects.

Informal discussion will take place in the Wardroom Bar before and after the Seminar.

There is no charge for this seminar and guests are welcome to attend.
