The MSc and Diploma courses aim to provide the environmental manager or scientist with an understanding of how environmental features can be located and measured using Earth observing sensing systems.

Teaching is organised in semester-long modules with lectures, seminars, practical classes and tutorial work.

  • Foundations of Environmental Management
  • Approaches to Environmental Management
  • Frontiers of GIS
  • Geospatial Engineering Parts 1 and 2
  • The Environment Business
  • Image Processing for Remote Sensing
  • Environmental Remote Sensing
  • Mapping and Data Collection for GIS
  • A project/dissertation (MSc only)

    The course is accredited by the RICS and ICES.
