Speakers – Richard Wild MSc FRIN (associate lecturer at Sea Skills, and Senior and Examining Pilot for Harwich Haven Authority) and William Hargreaves MSc FRIN (pilot for ABP and Associate Lecturer at Warsash Maritime Academy).

William Hargreaves will open the meeting by talking about the legal implications of the relationship. Richard Wild will follow this by describing some case study project research into this critical and almost unique relationship. this evening is not just for the professionals, hearing about the challenges facing the Master and Pilot of a large container ship in the crowded waters of the Solent will certainly be of value to the small craft user.

Free of charge, and prior booking is not required. Members' guests are welcome.

Location: Warsash Maritime Academy
