Resilient PNT Forum

The Resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing Forum was held prior to the Institute's International Navigation Conference (INC 2017).

This 7th Forum, sponsored by IAIN and IALA, was held on 27 November in the Hilton Brighton Metropole Hotel. It was well attended, with over 70 attendees, and saw informative presentations given by leading researchers and industry. Presentations considered a range of topics, including a review of international discussions & policy updates, technology developments and industrial changes - all relevant to supporting resilient positioning, navigation and timing.

The Forum provides an opportunity for all attendees to exchange information, ask questions and take part in general discussions - exchanging information across sectors and communities. Discussions considered topics such as how resilience could be achieved, how GNSS denial could be identified, how events are reported and what actions could be taken to support resilient PNT activity in the future.

Notes of the meeting are being prepared; they will be circulated to attendees and made available on this website in due course.
