US GPS jamming exercise

The US military is continuing to jam GPS over a huge area of the SW US mainland.

The 'GPS Interference Testing' has been scheduled for 6 daylight hours per day for 6 days between 7 and 30 June, centred on China Lake, California.

The Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) warns that GPS, WAAS, GBAS and ADS-B may not be available during the jamming, extending to:
- 476 NM at 40,000 ft
- 432 NM at 25,000 ft
- 375 NM at 10,000 ft
- 340 NM at 4,000 ft
- 253 NM at 50 ft

This covers a huge volume of airspace - it will be interesting to hear how aviation and other sectors fared . .
