Northern Lighthouse Board AtoN Review Consultation Exercise

The Northern Lighthouse Board (NLB) has recently undertaken a review of their Aids to Navigation (AtoN) provided around the Scottish Coast.

You can download a PDF version of the NLB consultation document below. This consultation document includes details of the proposed AtoN changes within their jurisdiction.

Any comments you may have on the proposed changes to the AtoN contained in the NLB consultation document should be sent direct to the Captain Phillip Day, Director of Marine Operations, at NLB by post or by email to, as detailed in the consultation document. When responding it would be appreciated if those who are members of the RIN could mention this affiliation, so that NLB are aware of the responses coming from our membership.

As with the recent Commissioners of Irish Lights(CIL) and Trinity House(TH) user consultation exercises, the deadline for submission of comments for this NLB user consultation exercise is 14 January 2015.
