GPS III contract

Lockheed Martin has been awarded a contract for two further GPS III satellites.

The $200,700,415 (~£123, €146 million) cost-plus-incentive-fee contract modifies an existing one for GPS III space vehicles (SV) 05 and 06.

Work will be undertaken in Colorado and New Jersey and is due for completion by December 2017 for SV 05 and June 2018 for SV 06. The USAF Space and Missile Systems Center at Los Angeles Air Force Base is the contracting authority.
