Car HUD for £3

Yet another car head-up display (HUD) has been launched - this time available from within the navigation application.

The Sygic phone HUD is available as an add-on feature in its GPS Navigation app - working without any additional accessories or devices.

The driver plans the route and taps 'HUD' on the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. The phone is then simply placed on the coaming below the windscreen in a position to display guidance conveniently in the driver's field of view. Tapping the screen again returns the display to normal navigation.

The display gives:
- Speed limit
- Turn arrows
- Speed camera warning (but be careful in some countries)
- Distance to next turn
- Current speed

Sygic GPS Navigation is available in the iOS App Store and Google Play, with the HUD purchased from within the app for, in the US, $4.99 (around £3 or €3.70).
