Enav Centre opens
Institute member company ECDIS Ltd has opened the impressive Enav Centre near Southampton, UK.
The Centre has opened its doors to reveal a large facility capable of delivering bridge courses to an extremely high standard. The focal point of the new Centre is an impressive new Full Mission Simulator (FMS).
On 26 October, over 100 representatives from amongst the world's most renowned maritime companies came together for the opening, including representatives from shipping companies, government agencies, chart distributors, P&I clubs, associations and the military.
The Member of Parliament for Meon Valley, George Hollingbery, opened the facility, adding that he was 'So pleased to be involved in a tiny way in what is so clearly going to be an enormous British business success.'
The Enav Centre has been designed specifically with the end-user in mind, creating a clean, modern and inspiring learning environment to service worldwide merchant and military clients alike. In addition to a diverse portfolio of bridge related courses, training can be tailored to meet the demands of the customer.
Course bookings already being taken for 2013, when 2 more centres are planned to open in Asia and the Americas.
Joe Sloly, Customer Development Manager at the Enav Centre, comments 'These are exciting times. We are now delivering a new and exciting range of courses in addition to the traditional bridge courses. The additional courses on offer vary between studies on the subject of Human Factors right through to Anti-Piracy.'
