Many visit LAA Rally

The weather was kind for the Light Aircraft Association's weekend Rally at Sywell, Northampton - resulting in lots of visitors.

There were 1,974 movements (take-offs or landings) of aircraft visiting the event, which made it one of the busiest airfields in the country for 3 days - the daily average for Heathrow is ~1,300.

The Institute stand had a steady stream of visitors, with over 100 trying the 'Spot-the-Waypoint' competition - with varying success.

The latest edition of the GANG newsletter 'Tern & Slip' was available on the stand, and can be downloaded from this site - go to SIGS and click on GANG and then RESOURCES, where the Summer 12 issue is available.
