Indoor nav goes nationwide in US
A virtual mapping and navigation smartphone app has been launched for all 7,907 Walgreens stores throughout the US.
Walgreens drugstore is the first national retailer to have every one of its stores mapped in a mobile application.
With aisle411.'s in-store mapping app, customers can use their smartphones to view maps of any Walgreens store, allowing shoppers to locate products down to a particular section of a particular aisle.
The app company had found that ~84% of shoppers have difficulty finding products on store shelves - and >20% leave a store without having purchased everything they intended to.
The aisle411 app claims to empower anyone with a smartphone to find products and promotions quickly and easily in retail stores with the unique in-store search and comprehensive shopping guide - which also supports shopper-friendly functions like lists, voice-to-text and barcode scanning.
The app is available free from the iPhone App and the Google Play sites.
