Fatal Irish helicopter crash

Up to 4 people are feared dead after a helicopter came down in a mountainous area of Northern Ireland.

The aircraft crashed near Hilltown in the Mourne Mountains, County Down, at around 1600 BST on 23 October.

Reports from witnesses indicate that the accident was more likely to be mechanical- rather than weather- or navigation-related.

Chartered helicopter flights for the likes of golfing groups and wedding parties are common in the area, which is renowned for its scenery, with mountains up to almost 3,000 ft.
