September sees a further change in direction when the Branch visits the Victorian water pumping station and underground reservoir at Papplewick, Nottinghamshire, which will be ‘in steam’ on the day of our visit. Local MRIN John Britten who is also Chair of Papplewick Pumping Station Trust will be our special guide. In addition to the steam engines, there'll be at least one pipe organ to view and listen to, and there'll be model boats on the lake. The admission charge for the visit, payable at the door, will be Adult: £8.00, Senior £6.00, and Child £4.00 For further details, please contact emids@RIN.org.uk
