  • 10/10/2017 12:00:00 to 10/10/2017 16:00:00
  • The Signals Museum, Building 104, RAF Henlow, SG16 6DN

The visit will start at 1400, with the opportunity to meet up for lunch beforehand.

The visit will start at 1400 after the security check-in procedures and the tour will last about 2 hours. There is an adjacent hostelry in which members can meet for lunch at 1200.

This Museum attempts to tell the story of RAF signals, giving insight into equipment that was developed during World War 1 and through the '20s and '30s, as well from World War 2 and beyond - making it a comprehensive history of RAF electronic developments.

Those who wish to take lunch before the visit can meet at The Crown, 2 High Street, Henlow, SG16 6BS. Note, those rendezvousing at the Crown will need to leave there by 1330 for the approximate 1 mile drive to RAF Henlow, SG16 6DN. Parking at RAF Henlow is on the north side of the road opposite the main guard room. Members and their guests going directly to RAF Henlow should meet in the car park at 1330. For security reasons, it is essential to register the names of all visitors through anglia@rin.org.uk by 29 September. The following details are needed: full names of members and their guests and make, model, registration and colour of car.

There is no charge for the visit, but the museum welcomes donations.
