10th Annual RIN Baška GNSS Conference

The Royal Institute of Navigation, London, UK, Faculty of Maritime Studies, University of Rijeka, Croatia and Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb, Croatia have a pleasure in welcoming you to the 10th Annual RIN Baška GNSS Conference to be held 8 - 10 May, 2016 in Baška, Krk Island, Croatia. The conference is technically co-sponsored by Beihang University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Beijing, China. Media coverage is provided by Coordinates Magazine (Delhi, India).

The conference aims to gather worldwide experts in satellite navigation and related disciplines, and focuses on GNSS resilience and GNSS applications development. The unique environment of Baška, its natural resources, and rich history and culture, combined with friendly hospitality, will again create an inspiring atmosphere for ideas and knowledge exchange, well known to those who attended the previous conferences in the series.

This traditional and unique event aims to gather worldwide experts in satellite navigation and related disciplines, and focuses on GNSS resilience and GNSS applications development. The unique environment of Baška, its natural resources, and rich history and culture, combined with friendly hospitality, will again create an inspiring atmosphere for ideas and knowledge exchange, well known to those who attended the previous conferences in the series.

Note that the conference will celebrate its tenth anniversary with attractive scientific, exhibition and social programmes offered to participants, among them the organised visit to, and the Baska cruising tour aboard, the training sailing ship Kraljica mora (The Queen of the Sea). Kraljica mora is owned by Croatian Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure.

Subjects addressed during the tenth Annual Baška GNSS Conference will include, but are not limited to:
Core satellite navigation systems' developments and modernisation,
Satellite-based augmentation systems (SBAS),
Space weather and ionospheric effects on GNSS performance and operation,
GNSS applications for air, marine, land and personal navigation,
Location-Based Services, Intelligent Transport Systems, and Search and Rescue (SaR) operations,
Resilience development against natural (space weather and ionospheric) and artificial (jamming, spoofing and meaconing) disruptions of GNSS services,
Statistical and digital signal processing for electronic navigation and weak signal detection,
GNSS receiver design (including Software-Defined and Cognitive Radio),
Advanced multidisciplinary GNSS applications (in geomatics, transport, navigation of autonomous rovers, data science, remote sensing, agriculture, geodesy, forestry, tourism, environment protection, meteorology and science),
GNSS advancements, parallels and alternatives,
Cognitive aspects of navigation,
GNSS education and professional advancement,
Regulatory and legal aspects of GNSS utilisation.

A series of special sessions will outline the most recent developments:
Resilient GNSS developments, GNSS parallels and alternatives,
Statistical signal processing and Bayesian estimation in PNT techniques, and
GNSS for autonomous and connected aircafts, vehicles and vessels
